Akkızhan Hotel is not just a place to stay; it is the center of a farm that produces its own goods, a life cycle respectful of nature, and agro tourism. Here, every morning begins with the chirping of birds, and the products harvested from olive trees shaped by the wind and fruit orchards are transformed using traditional methods. Olives turn into liquid gold olive oil, fruits become healing vinegars, and the remaining pulp is shared with our chickens and other animal friends.
The day starts with a Traditional Balıkesir Breakfast flavored with eggs from our chickens fed on fruit pulp left over from vinegar production. Traditional cheeses made from the milk of our animals nourished with natural herbs take the central place on the breakfast tables.
Together with our guests, we go to the vegetable garden to pick seasonal vegetables and cook them together in our kitchen. Here, everything is produced by us, and we consume what we produce together. We all witness up close the story of North Aegean flavors.
We invite you on a journey to Akkızhan Hotel’s fresh air, where you can taste Aegean flavors accompanied by olive oil produced from olives harvested on-site and experience dishes prepared with vegetables from the garden.
